May be in future, if GoodNotes doesn’t do well (at the time being I am reading,annotating big pdf textbooks without any issue!) then I may go towards margin note…Margin notes developers must work to simplify user interface to make it more user friendly.
Search in multiple documents and for tags is completely broken.literally unusable. They are trying their best but there is something fundamentally wrong that they can’t seem to rectify…After few months, I’ve stopped using LiquidText and switched over to GoodNotes for pdf annotations and notes.So the idea 💡 of LiquidText is great but it doesn’t work with big project’s containing pdf textbooks and after 20-30 pages ink notes in the workspace, the inking becomes horribly slow and eraser doesn’t work.
The developers of the LiquidText are very nice people.

When you make 20 plus pages ink notes in the workspace canvas and you have 10-15 books in the project, then the inking will be very laggy, eraser will not work, search function is completely broken etc. On the other hand LiquidText user interface is simple and awesome.

Hi 🙋🏻♂️ there…I have only tested margin notes 3 in trial mode and it’s very stable but it’s down side is it’s complicated user interface. I have since moved my documents to MarginNote 3 and it has become my new PDF reader to replace my Liquidtext, which I have used for almost two years. Since I have to move my documents across my devices in Liquidtext manually, I have seen no point in using the app on my new iPad pro. Unbelievable! Bookmarks ease our navigation through PDFs. If there is, then it is the most hidden bookmarking icon in any app I’ve encountered so far, which defeats the purpose of having the icon in the first place! A PDF annotation app without bookmarking. Much like the case with Notability and GoodNotes, where GoodNotes generally just makes bigger files. MarginNote 3 has more documents but is not taking up as much space. I only have two workspaces in LiquidText and they are taking a lot of space on my iPad. LiquidText Takes Up Too Much Storage Space I have this many textbooks in one workspace because this is the best way to organise work in LiquidText. My current workspace has fifteen documents seven of them are textbooks. LiquidText takes too long to load documents and sometimes freezes completely. Most PDF readers slow down with too many or large documents. This issue is not unique to LiquidText though. Whatever device I choose, wherever I am, I can keep working. I started this article on my MacBook Pro then switched to my phone and I’ll probably finish it on my iPad.
It is unbelievable! One of the perks for going paperless is the ability to work In 2019, I don’t think this should even be something to complain about. Anything can happen to your device and it’s comforting to know your notes and work is safe. It is necessary to keep a backup of your documents. LiquidText lacks backup (manual or automatic) to any Cloud service. 5 reason I am leaving LiquidText for MarginNote 3 1.
